National Grange Mutual Selects Docucorp to Support Business Transformation/Independent Agent Productivity InitiativePolicy Production Solution to Automate Publishing, Set Stage for Future Functionality

DALLAS, Apr 2, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Docucorp(R) (Nasdaq:DOCC), a leading provider of enterprise information solutions, today announced National Grange Mutual (NGM) Insurance Co. will license its enterprise publishing solutions as part of the first phase of the NGM "Systems Replacement Project" designed to improve agent communication, access and productivity, as well as deliver enhanced claims functionality.
Founded in 1923, NGM is the parent company of Main Street America Financial Corporation, whose subsidiaries include Main Street America Holdings Inc., Main Street America Assurance, and Old Dominion Insurance Company.

"NGM believes that the independent agent is the public's choice for providing insurance. They are our only channel for delivering our product. We're launching a comprehensive initiative designed to increase our independent agents' productivity by significantly streamlining their transaction processing through automation and integrated network access to NGM via the Internet," said Joel Gelb, NGM's chief information officer. "Docucorp's automated publishing solutions will help us to deliver applications, letters, policies and other business critical documents to our agents real-time via the web. It will also play a key role in document production needed to further automate our claims processes."

A platform and device independent architecture enables Docucorp's solution to seamlessly integrate with future phases of NGM's new insurance systems.

"Docucorp's publishing solution will bring NGM's agents immediate access to ACORD and company specific applications via the web, while laying the foundation for additional functionality in future phases of NGM's productivity initiative," said William D. Barry, senior vice president, sales and marketing, Docucorp. "Additionally, because our solution has the unique flexibility to integrate with systems across the enterprise, we're helping NGM leverage investments it is making in its Systems Replacement Project."
