Dale: I would guess that Athlon shipments will exceed Hammer shipments until Fab35 begins to ramp.

With Clawhammer expected to be <100mm² and the "64bit-ness" only accounting for an increase of a few percent (5%?) according to AMD, I don't see any reason to continue Tbred and Appaloosa in 2H'02. Additionally, infrastructure should be much cheaper for the Hammers (due to LDT replacing EV6). Once the infrastructure for the Hammers is in place, I don't think AMD will continue producing all that many EV6-Athlons.

Dale,

I would guess that Athlon shipments will exceed Hammer shipments until Fab35 begins to ramp.

I think the crossover will be much sooner than that, in Q1 2003.
