Washington Post today (via link from Drudge) Headline- "Low Snowpack Dims Calif. Power Hopes" by Don Thompson, AP March31,2001 2:29 a.m. EST Sacramento, CA "New measurments show the snowpack in the Sierra Nevada is so low, California's hydroelectric production could fall more than a third below normal..." for the entire article see: washingtonpost.com Its pretty discouraging. Looks like even fresh vegetables are going to be more expensive. Maybe they should change work hours in CA to 6:00am -3:00pm. That way when the lights go out at 2:00 you've only lost an hour of work.
