1) Why would the media love the McCain-Feingold? They stand to loss millions (billions, to quote this article) in political ad revenue. Seems like a wishful thinking argument; it is very popular in right-wing commentary to blame the 'evil liberal media'.

Kevin the media would gain absolute power. They would be the only voice telling you who to vote for.

2.) I think this is the most important point of all.

Why is the senate spending so much energy and time on a trivial subject when the American people have urgent needs to be addressed? Why? Because McCain and the liberal media who urge him on do not care about the American people or the economy or the stock market, just there own greedy evil desires to abuse the citizens of this country. And they see an opportunity to thwart any attempt Bush makes at addressing these imporant issues that the public IS focused on. Thus, they maintain control of the situation by making Bush look bad. When will you wake up and see this?
