Thanks,Tuck. I did find my note on Interferon-Alpha. It was from an article in a Journal from India, in which they reported their results in about 40 cases. J Assoc Physicians India 2000 Jul;48(7):671-3 "This study investigates the efficacy of interferon-alpha (IFN) therapy in acute prolonged HBV infection to prevent its progression into chronic stage". CONCLUSIONS: IFN-alpha treatment in acute prolonged (> 12 weeks) HBV infection is safe and may prevent its progression to the chronic stage.
