Help anyone.When I turned on my computer this morning it would not get past the Windows window.I tried a second time and it came on in "safe mode".A third boot up and it seems to be back to normal.

Does anyone know what happened and why?
Will this happen again?
What is "safe mode"?

I have Win 98.
This has never happened before.

thanks for the conducent info. i'm still waiting for any responses to my posted inquiry on the 'infested spyware' site (isn't that a lovely name?) regarding surfsaver and the 'conducent' rating or description that the site has given it.
