Hi Mike,

Whatever merits or d-merits WFII is accountable for on their own, notwithstanding, I suspect that a substantial percentage of their former stock price was either due to, or sustained by, some repeated favorable language bestowed upon them in the Gilder Technology Report. I could be wrong about this, but I don't think so. And there may have been justification for this, at least in the mind of the author, but I don't know what that justification might have been. The effect of such a mention, however, is indisputable.... it usually signals (or it at one time signaled) a short-term move upwards, if not remarkable levels or excitement and speculation.

Reasons: TDMA buildout coming to a halt in the US. GSM going up in developing countries (WFII not strong there) now that Europe reached saturation.

They have to go for the build out of 3G. That may take a while.
