"What features does the High End Athlon have that the p4 does not? "

I think what he is talking about is that because the price of the equivalent Athlon and memory is cheaper, the OEM can match the P4 price point and have extra goodies/higher quality components.

<< In the P4 vs. High End Athlon arena, "Features Sell" is the main AMD advantage. >>

Doug:<What features does the High End Athlon have that the p4 does not?>

Not the chip, but OEM's are selling the P4's with 20G hard disks, no CDRW and the like to compete against the Athlon on price. Take a look at Gateway's P4's vs Athlons -- the 1.3G Athlon system for the same price has
CD/RW instead of CD
Double the disk size (40 vs. 20)
Geforce graphics vs. TNT2 graphics

I wish AMD could get the OEM's to routinely include 256M of RAM with systems, that would drive Intel crazy!
