Goldman Sachs rep. just indicated that LC said no such thing. Nothing about an expected warning on Monday or Tuesday. Nothing about a "major" warning. She has been cautious on the storage sector for the same reasons it is prudent to be cautious. Apparently, yesterday Rick Sherlund in a morning call said there could be prereleases next week in the software space. LC was on the call but did not say the same about storage though, again, she is generally cautious and right to be so, in my view.

It would not be surprising for either EMC or BRCD to prerelease. Consensus April Q numbers for BRCD are around 159 M. The year ago quarter they had revenue of 56 M. That is 184% growth. Assume for the sake of argument a prerelease to a 25% sequential Q/Q decline to 122 M. That is 118% annual growth. This is a bear market and stocks go below fair value in bera markets - sometimes far below fair value - on extreme emotional reactions. Don't confuse someone shouting the sky is falling in the midst of a bear market with someone who has a clue about what they are saying. Look for analysis. The doomsayer(s) on SI message boards generally come with none. When the latest one on this thread tries to use simple math, he makes mistakes. Enough said.
