SOX drainage is forcing a trendline breakout failure. It's a pretty good short line going back to Mar 27, tested a few times. We opened up over it and now are falling back through it. Not good. Dunno if it'll really crack and I am thinking my crappy fill will get whipped as it fights this line.

Yup, am only a few points from getting oosik'd as it's snapping back.

I should have been better prepared for that trade. Poorly executed. Should have seen the strong trendline would probably produce the snapback. I was already prepared for the SOX move to be a headfake down, per previous post, and really should have seen the NASDAQ TL as the catalyst to pull smelly back into the coil. Am hoping now it's no headfake...

Re smelly, You can turn the lights off if it closes decisively below 540! It breaches a critical support on the weekly!

Allan:

Lots of sellers on MU this a.m. and there should be. Numbers were simply awful and of course they lied in their commentary last week.

Memory prices had a small hiccup upward last week, but are heading lower again. Everybody has huge inventories and that is a global phenomenon.

I am adding to the "core position" this a.m. if I can get a decent price. This is one of the best "tulips" in the whole tech sector. It is highly likely that the buried funds will try to hold it up for quarter end, but after that, someone is going to head for the exits and it will be one big "whoosh", to use your expression. The numbers are simply too bad to ignore now and the balance sheet degradation will put pressure on the more discerning to be gone.

I will comment further and in more detail once the 10Q is available. I can hardly wait. (g)

Best, Earlie
