As a final note, here is what may be the best call Paul Sagawa ever made. After NT announced Q4 earnings and gave a rosy 2001 outlook, Sagawa stuck to his story and was proven right only a few weeks later in an embarrassing recant by Roth:

I am not a big fan of this guy particularly with regard to LU and COMS, but he seems to be on top of NT and the industry in general.

Nortel Networks Cut to `Outperform' at
Lazard Freres

Princeton, New Jersey, March 30 (Bloomberg Data) -- Nortel
Networks Corp. (NT US) was downgraded to ``outperform'' from
``buy'' by analyst Truc Do at Lazard Freres & Co. The 12-month
target price was cut to $16 from $25 per share.
