Jay, just in a psychological context, I don't think we're even close to a bottom.

I am now arguing on the BRCD, YHOO, and CSCO threads about bottoms. Many of the bulls are conceeding that 12 is possible on CSCO - so they have become slightly bearish. BUT, I will argue that the fact that people are still talking about target bottoms and where to go long is actually a negative sign.

Unless you're George Soros, Warren Buffett, Sir John Templeton, or even Robert Prechter, you don't talk about going long at a bottom. It's like Japan right now, nobody is talking about going long even with the most recent rally. We need that here.

The fact that we're under 1800 right now, and I am still having these pointless arguments with morons, doesn't bode well. I can't imagine that people's perceptions will change that much more with a move to 1450.
