Gottfried, Susan's post reflects more and more sentiment change on many SI boards. It's almost the perfect reflection of the bulls mantra prior to March '00, "it's different this time", only the polar opposite of course, "we'll never recover from this, so much inventory, so much consumer debt, the Middle East, Japan is dead, etc.

Thank you for the links to the resources. I will study it further this weekend. I own AMAT at 47 3/4.. so it is not the end of the world. However, I looked at this admittedly simplistic, SOX chart and was not consoled:
