Most conservative Christians support a moment of silence as part of morning exercises at this point, not a state- sponsored prayer. The matter of benedictions on certain other occasions is trickier. I think that in matters like high school graduation, community traditions should be followed. It is pretty innocuous, and there is no clear reason to veto the will of the majority in that case. Team prayers lead by the coach should be disallowed, but if several players want to have a moment of prayer, that is their business. Anyway, it is still a long way from theocracy........
