<How about that Rockies home opener?>

I hope you know that is impossible. Actually, I've been to a home opener every year for about the last 10. Used to be the Dodgers, always a day game - midweek. Last year was the best, though - innaugural game of Pac Bell Park. THAT is an awesome ballpark. This year D-Backs - but it's at night. It's like an advertising tradition. Agencies practically shut down.

I'm glad you said the end of 'civilization'. All of the conservation can not stop the inevitable. Human advances take too much of a burden on this planets resources. Eventually we'll be gone, by our own doing or something else (I've been reading INTENTLY about the more recent studies of the iridium layer). There is one strain of life on this planet which is not dependant on photosynthesis in any way. Sulfur based life, at the bottom of several underwater ridges. It's awesome. It'll go on, long after we're gone, and re-populate the planet once again. I could easily talk about this forever. The best decision in my life was getting out of medicine, and switching to marine biology. The worst decision of my life was switching from marine biology to marketing.
