Steve, every stock and stock index has the ultimate risk of going to Zero. Not possible I'm afraid, When the value of the NYSE stock aggregate goes down to a total value of $1, I will probably go the extra mile and put in a bid of $1:10. Mind you, I will have to get special written dispensation from DATEK to do a very large trade (all the stocks on the NYSE) for $9.99. pearly.
