Sprint Broadband offers a service to Silicon Valley customers. The download speed is similar to DSL except on Friday nights, (wireless hogs). The upload speed is around 56kbps, much below there specified speed. The latency is rather high as well (hundreds of milliseconds) making it almost useable for playing games. However, it provides a useful broadband service for customers not able to get cable or dsl. The cost is $40/$50 per month with $299 equipment purchase required.
