Robear. That's a good post, my friend. As verbal encapsulations go? You've touched on many of the key caveats that investors MUST recognize in the mine field know as the Bear Market!! "...the bulls get washed out on whipsaws and the bears get squeezed on the sharp bear market rally. Bargain hunters find quicksand instead of bottoms and cash holders have to be aware that missing the first train out of the station may be the price of the safe ride tickets. Your market read is likely but, it will be a difficult one to play for most who will be subject to the above vicissitudes." IMO, it's ALWAYS a challenge, though an enjoyable one (once learned) to make the transition in thinking required to survive let alone prosper during a Bear Market. And heck, I've been through several of them as a professional. So I can only imagine what it's like for those enduring it for the first time ESPECIALLY after being strongly conditioned by a long multi-year Bull to buy the dips and disregard those who say otherwise. I don't worry about you. You're one of the sharper tools in the shed, nimble and a quick study. It's Pavlov's Chihuahua's who salivate every time the bell rings from from the latest DCB that have been selected for extinction by the eternal verities of the market.
