Well if I had sold today I would have lost money. I'm hoping that it will recover some next week, but I suspect that there will be reluctance to commit big $ before the next earnings report.

I much rather check NVLS my basis there is about 2, or IBM 10, but I've held them for years.

Jake ... and you were right, of course. The window dressing I was expecting would have been by those funds who actually do hold the stock -- they have an incentive to place orders near the close to drive up the value of the holdings they already have. Makes their fund look a bit more respectable, in comparison with peers. Lots of tech funds in that boat. But if that was a "bounce", then we are in for much worse ...imho
