Just Pondering.....

How much of our tax surplus is a function of the recently demised bull market? It would seem to me that there are going to be a lot fewer tax dollars making their way into uncle sam's pocket. I know that I will be paying a lot less in taxes this year over last year and a lot less next year over this year.

What are the potential ramifications of this for our economy?? Is the idea of tax cuts right now premature? Should we wait until there is some form of equilibrium and the government has a clear view as to what kind of money is coming into them?

Of course, as a Librarian, I think we should just cut all taxes completely...but I will be realistic for the moment.
