Yep, I'm upbeat. Made it there and back alive. No kidding, I wondered how I'd do at the higher speeds. I ran by what I learned as safety factors and took an hour or so longer on a 16 hour drive but rolled ok.

Bridges? I love stinking bridges. Thanks to the trip. Got my 18 year old attitude back. I can do. And I did.

I expanded my horizons that had narrowed.

I went on this trip for my wife. Someone's mistake caused her to work everyday since Dec. 17, even Christmas. I asked if maybe she had a friend who might want to go and have the time off. Then I went to get some fishing in. Kaphooey on that. Weather changed. Fish quit eating and went deep.

Plan A might not have worked but plan B popped up. There was a tidal flat behind where we stayed. Exploring the tidal flat was a world I didn't know. Learned. Learned about tidal marshes and what lived there, and what bred there. I waded out so far shore looked small. Saw conch eggs and learned about them, saw shells alive and dead and got within 6' of a stingray. Horseshoe crabs, small blue crabs.

Thing is fun is wherever you go. Might not be what you wanted or expected but it's there. Go with the flow.

Sounds like a detective show "Ish Bridges."
