It think it was W. Buffett that said anyone who thought they could predict the market shouldn't be allowed to talk to children.


He also said this in the final line of page 14 from his latest letter to shareholders...

" Really juicy results from negotiated deals can be anticipated only when capital markets are severely constrained and the whole business world is pessimistic. We are 180 degrees from that point. "

One can predict the direction of a market accurately if one knows the future events coming.

All Buffet was saying, was that the common man has no accurate information about future events, therefore, they cannot predict human behavior properly.
