RR:
When things get difficult, my philosophy is this. I ask myself two questions. What time is it? The answer: NOW. Where am I? The answer: HERE. I appreciate and embrace the here and now and find the joy in all. That always helps me to keep to the positive side of the road. When I dont, I stress. Not good for my soul.

And when I least expect something and stop pushing for it, it comes along. As Tom has said, 'Just float'. Can be a challenge but in taking the challenge, the floating happens.

Always appreciate your comments and your concern for us. Thanks for being part of this thread

Bluebird report! We have the first egg! Saw momma and papa bluebird early this morning dancing around outside our bedroom window by their nest and figured they may have laid the first egg. Should have one each day now for a few days. Usually we have 5 the first time and 3 the second time later in the summer.

The bluebird family has been laying eggs in that little bluebird house for 10-12 years. We have a hinged lid on it so we can look inside and watch the babies hatch and grow. Sometimes momma will just sit in the nest and not even fly away. Seems to be use to us.

Many times during bad storms I've gone out there at night in the rain and wind with a flashlight to make sure that little roof is locked down and didn't blow open where they could get wet. Never will forget one time in a horrible storm it blew open just a day or so after all the eggs had hatched. Horrible storm. My wife looked outside and screamed that the roof was open. No telling how long it had been open during that storm. I went running out there expecting to see the babies dead. Looked down inside, and there was momma, soaking wet, sitting on those babies. She road out that horrible storm. She looked up at me, didn't fly away. She was doing what any mother would do, protect her babies.

Got to hit the road for a few days folks. Leaving in an hour. Ya'll hold the market up while I'm gone.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week. Take care.

Rick
