Some interesting headlines (useful only to judge the popular consensus, IMO)

Tokyo, March 30 (BridgeNews) - Demand for petroleum products in Japan is expected to show average marginal decline of 0.1% year-on-year during 2000-01 (April-March) and fiscal 2005-06 [!], according to forecasts by the Agency of Natural Resources and Energy at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

New York, March 29 (BridgeNews) - NYMEX May oil futures ended a choppy trading session near flat amid news the U.S. Department of Energy would allow a delay in the return of 23.8 million barrels of crude to the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. Brokers and traders also cited a report that the Bush administration wants Iraq crude for the U.S. more than it wants continued strict sanction enforcement. May crude settled up 1c at $26.32 per barrel.
