I have heard figures that say upwards of 60% of the people don’t think we need a tax cut. That scares the hell out of me! Our society has become so accepting and complacent of Government intrusion and over taxation that they (the Govt.) now enjoy the backing from its own citizens to lay the wood to them every April 15th. This is reminiscent of how some churches operate when they get surplus money. The modus operandi of the church has been a debt free church is a dead church. The whole idea being that if members of the congregation get wind of a zero debt church they will lower their contributions. As a result, many churches choose to build giant cathedrals and go into debt instead of taking the opportunity to use all incoming money to really make a difference. Anyone see the analogy? Don't get sucked into the idea that they (the govt.) are doing the right thing.............THEY SELDOM HAVE (our California viewers are living this fact now!). I'm not asking anyone to agree - just a different way to view things.
