Greg, John Hogue is the correct spelling. A Yahoo search will bring up lots of info about him. A friend of mine recommended one of his books to me called "Messiahs". He is quite an interesting fellow. You mentioned the spelling correction before concerning the PentE vs A costal. I hadn't forgotten but if you search in Yahoo you will find some spell it with the e and some with the a. Is their a difference depending on which religion is using the term and for what? I am familiar with the gift of tongues. I belong to a group of " spirit filled" Catholics and most have that gift. I have spoken in tongues myself and believe it to be a kind of spiritual median. Care should be taken only to engage in such activity in the purest of circumstances....my opinion only there. There are energy forces surrounding us that can enter our spiritual plane much easier when we are ungrounded. I am very careful in that area as I do not pretend to take this aspect lightly. If we believe that we are all carnal bodies that are inhabited by a spirit then we have to acknowledge the health of both body and spirit. Sometimes I believe that the UPC is so far "out there" because they have abused the speaking in tongues excessively and have allowed in too much negative spiritual energy which has led them far off the right track.... Just my opinion of course but I was with them for three years. Frankly, I have little doubt that there is something beyond this plane of existence. I don't know for certain because I have not been to the other side, but I have been close to believers as they have passed over.
