If you like to do that sort of trading, it is good.
I will admit MSFT is stuck in a range right now. Unless the rest of the techs move up, chances of MSFT going down are probably greater than some other washed up stocks.

I am just betting that the Naz will be moving up and therefore not worth trading MSFT in its range. It should move up with the rest of the market. In addition, I just don't think business at MSFT will be as bad as many expect it to be. With new product launches on the way and demise of many of its competitors and emerging threats (from internet companies), the strategic positioning of Microsoft is much better now than it was last year at this time. (that is why avoided it for a year or so)
The market will figure out that out soon and therefore justify a premium multiple on the stock. IT spending slowdown may be a 1 or 2 quarter event in software even if it is longer in optical or wireless infrastructure buildouts or some other areas such as high end servers.
Therefore, I like the software sector and would rather be long.....looking beyond the valley.
Near term there is risk but everyone knows that anyways..and that is my reason for taking a chance with it.
