The image will be generated by a chip from MVIS mounted on a small swing-out arm extension from your cellphone, painted on your retina by the laser. And by the time that technology is in widespread use, all cellphone use while driving will have been outlawed in the US.

On the screen is a very good place. You could have the earphone attachment to listen to the voice and look at the picture on the screen. But I like M Golshein's scheme a lot better.
