If you are seriously considering buying some wdc, then you must also consider MXTR. MXTR has much better finances. Is also dirt cheap. Has a more promising network storage solution, and is the undisputed leader in the disk drive industry. The only hitch for them is digesting the Quantum acquisition that completed yesterday. I have both wdc and mxtr. If the share prices were the same, I'd switch to mxtr.

Actually my ideal scenario is that disk drive shares will double while the semi's and networking stocks stay depressed, then I'd would switch it all to cisco, orcl, intel , amat, nvls, ter, klac, nt, adct, altr, xlnx, etc.... With a little luck, it may just happen.
