Avnx future:

History repeats itself. Fear is coming into play now. What I am seeing on this board is exactly what
happened in 1998, fear fear. Fear will undo you.....

The best value in the market NOW is avanex. If you believe in scalability, and you know what the PowerMux
means, then this is the time to buy. Avanex is as attractive as AMCC was in 1998 at $20. At, that time
it had some legacy business which it was getting rid of, and concentrating on the core. Then growth followed.

The secret here is to identify the technology, and stick with it. I got into avanex at $125. and am still buying into
it, not merely to average in, but because the "next generation" is poised for growth in 2002. This is a fire sale.
I rarely comment. given a choice, of nufo, amcc, jdsu, glw I would go for all. Wall street sticks to quarterly
results, not the long term. Sure, there is a slow down in spending, but that will ebb away. ATM is transitioning
to optical. The same guys who are spreading doom and gloom now, will be buying avanex in the 50's. Nortel
is concentrating on 40 gig, guess who supplies them ?. Metro will boom, guess who has the vision to
get in first with the MetroExprress?..... It is at such trying times, the smart money will be picking up values
discounting at least 1 year into the future... Regards, Long Avnx. Immi
