KIS:

Personal yes, commercial still growing although in this environment the upgrade may have slowed enough by now to be negative. GTW, MUEI have had lower unit sales but I've read CPQ (maybe not now, I've been out of the loop last few weeks) and DELL have higher unit (all lower ASP's).

I'm not saying its a good market just not as bad as people think. If you go to GTW or DELL sites you'll see office is no longer offered with the standard package (I checked 2 or so weeks back) while in Dec of 1999 (last time I purchased) many of the packages offered office.

What happens to your poots if word spreads the appelate court ruling is coming out? BW had a write up the new head of the justice antiturst section was against the gov't position.

I think MSFT is the one large cap still worth owning (after it drops back from the run of the past few weeks).

>>this is the main reason MSFT is trying to move to a yearly subscription model for all their new software<<

If they actually do this to the home user, no one will ever buy their software again, IMO.

MSFT is grossly overvalued -- it is now a 2-story stock -- one story is long gone (PC & server sw growth) -- the other one is purely imaginary (it becoming a presence in other sw sectors).

Long term an excellent short, regardless of current 'market power' ...no doubt about it
