Chip:

I know of one way.

Multiply the number by –1. So you insert a column, 1st cell use the formula key and multiply the cell by –1) Then drag this down for all the cells you want to reverse. Now highlight all the reversed cells, copy, paste, value over the originals. A lot of steps but you can set up a macro to do it in the future (if the column range doesn’t change) to automate the steps.

Lets say you have –450 in column B cell 5. Insert a column C. in cell c5 have the formula =sum(b5)*(-1). C5 will now be 450 (but it’s a formula vs. the number. Now still in c5 click on edit, copy (you can also use the copy button on the tool bar. Click back on b5 (automatic highlight), click edit, paste, values (do not use the paste button on the tool bar or you’ll automatically paste the formula and it would be reading from cell A5. This gives the 450 now in cell b5.

I don’t know of another way.

make a new column and it will look like this:
=ABS(point to the negative value cell) ie "=ABS(c3)"
