Tony, Mike Magee has Intel releasing 1.7 GHz P4 in mid-April. He also had AMD releasing a Sledgehammer last Christmas. Scumbria

Tony, re: "John, Mike Magee has Intel releasing 1.7 GHz P4 in mid-April." At this point, I hope Intel can really push the envelope as far as MHz. They need to make all those 500 MHz chips look slow, and get folks to upgrade. I saw a 1.3 GHz system from Gateway advertised in the WSJ last week for ~$1300 w 17 inch monitor. Not bad. Intel isn't advertising Penium 4 for it's "net advantage". I'm surprised, it's still the image focused "Blue Man" stuff. I'm not willing to second guess them at this point. It seems like MSFT/INTC might be in cahoots to push for a strong 4th quarter, with P4 upgrades coupled with XP. I guess that's what I would do. Hope you are having a good weekend, the only thing more frustrating than the stock market is the game of golf. John
