I don't think KIS had the story right on WinXP (so what's new). I don't think even MSFT intends to unleash yearly licensing on consumers right now, although the technology for it is clearly there. See my other post.

i also hear that this 'xp' (hendrix must be rolling over in his grave) is going to break all current games. they must be dropping direct x (eisler's baby).

i'm with you; win98 is the end of the line for me. i've already got my combat mission and doom games, my vb 5, my delphi 1, and my old turbo c; and for word processing, wordpad.
