If you have it working correct in one cell then highlight the cell and the cells below it which you need to fill with data...

With the desired cells highlighted go to edit... fill... down.

That should work

Copy your column with the right values and paste special into another column with value checked. Then delete your old columns and you're good to go. The easiest way to handle the whole thing is here:

In an empty cell in a new column, type -1.
Select the cell, and click Copy on the Edit menu.
Now select the cells containing the values you want to change.
On the Edit menu, click Paste Special.
Under Paste, click Values and under Operation, click multiply.
Click OK.
All the numbers change from positive to negative, or vice versa. Now delete your cell with -1 init and you're all set.

easy ~

Hit crtl+F, this brings up a find screen, enter the minus sign, then hit replace, enter a space for the replacement, then hit replace all.

edit, 'tis the other direction that's tough.
