Maybe you should consider helping your kids with their homeworks. You may learn a thing or two.

CO2 is the chemical which keeps the temperature on Venus above 900F.

The earth has a delicate balance of CO2 stored in limestone. If that CO2 were released (as it was on Venus), we could expect temperatures to go up by several hundred degrees.

The delicate relationship of the oceans, limestone, CO2 and temperature is what differentiates us from Venus.

You should get a degree in geology, and then maybe you could discuss this topic at a higher than third grade level.
