the leverage of the FCX prefs. is beyond reasonable doubt. since the dividend is paid in metal equivalents, the return would be very good once the metals rise in price. agree though that the leverage of beaten down common stock like HL is even greater. just take a gander at their production data, whip out a calculator and work out the potential return assuming various price scenarios...the potential is enormous, compared to the minuscule market cap.
