A few weeks back I heard an analyst calling for 1600 on the NASDAQ for exactly that reason...that's where the long-term trendline would take us. He said that his firm had done extensive research on all of the bubbles from the past and in every case, without exception, the market returned to the long-term trendline following a bubble burst. This could also be why Warren Buffett thinks that most stocks are still overvalued.
