Mike, you and and all who believe indicators can sometimes be useful should read Barron's interview with Don Hays.

While I wouldn't bet the farm on what he - or anyone - says, I agree that some of the technical indicators he uses are widely followed and often right. His main indicator is the 'Arms index'. >In almost every instance in which the ARMS Index moved above 1.5, a market bottom occurred not long after.< That would be the 10 day ma.
