Lukoil profit was around $3 billion for 2000 (not confirmed yet). 1999's profit was $1 billion. Lukoil's market cap is a little over $6 billion (hard to believe).

I am thinking of adding substantially to my LUKOY position, but I am confused by conversions. Anyone know what the dividend is? I know they are increasing the ruble payout, but I'm not sure how that converts to ADR's.

It seems that they are closer to developing the IRAQ reserves, but, as always, the political dimension has dominated the economic one.

I'm sure the few of us who follow see how the stock is going up-- now 51.
