I'd consider that the fact that MSFT earnings are solid and not going away anytime soon to be good news.

This is of course in stark contrast to most tech companies such as SUNW who's earnings seem to be turning into losses in a hurry. True, SUNW still projects a small profit, but IMO, that could change very quickly. I'm fairly certain that SUNW will announce a loss for an upcoming quarter, while MSFT will continue with gross margins of around 85%.

That's what I call good news for MSFT.

I think the assumption that they'll get out from under the antitrust suit undamaged is now built into the stock.

What's the reasoning for this past week then? Or did you mean 'building'? TIA
