CEO Compensation Continues to Defy Gravity...

washingtonpost.com

Hmmm...I always thought that leaders should sacrifice with the troops. Corporate America seems to feel CEOs get sky high compensation no matter what kind of sacrifices they ask their employees and shareholders to make. This seems wrong. I used to work for the CEO of a Fortune 1000 company and lets just say it was quite a learning experience...In too many 'traditional companies' the top execs are TOO comfortable and don't seem to make real sacrifices. I know they would tell you that they have to make tough decisions and that's why they get paid the big bucks. Yet, what happened to gaining the respect of the troops (and all of the stakeholders) as well as getting paid for PERFORMANCE...??

Just some Sunday afternoon thoughts.

Best Regards,

Scott
