After seeing your response I was forced to go read his post. What a crock is what I would call it. 28 years of deer hunting here and elk and deer out west I know of 5 cows and 1 horse shot. I am sure that his friend was losing several dozen a year though, right? Did also seem to be quite off topic for the conversation about the size of your homesite.

Perhaps it's offensive to him that you have the ability and desire to protect what is yours.

Those two real-life stories had nothing to do with squatters on your back 40. They were posted in response to your "10,000 rounds of ammo" comment. In other words, people also have a right to say no to other people killing animals on their property.

If you have a right to bear arms, then my friend also has a right to "just say no" to firearms on his property. You would agree with that, wouldn't you?

The squatters comment was made as an aside, but it sure did kick up some dust. For the record, I certainly do not condone what happened in Zimbabwe. Never said I did. All I said ... or intended to say ... was that people with large tracts of land in certain parts of the world run the risk of what happened in the former country of Rhodesia.
