Tim.. CO2 on its own isnt a pollutant in its natural state.. that is.. when it gets expelled by us and animals and gets absorbed by trees and so forth..

However.. when emissions are added and added by man-made means.. far faster then that earth's plantlife can absorb.. and it begine to cause the earth to warm and cause dramatic climate change.. it becomes a pollutant.. pure and simple.

By your rather simple definition... man-made ozone wouldnt be a pollutant either.. since it after all in its natural state protects the earth from UV Radiation.. .. however.. I hear the term "ozone pollution " all the time in big cities... so surely you arent going to argue that ozone isnt a "pollutant" either... Assuming you're being logical and assume that man-made ozone IS a pollutant.. you should be able to get past your ideology about things and concede that man-made Carbon Dioxide spewed into the environment by factories is just as much a pollutant as ozone is.
