Mani... I agree with Tony, and I don't think his post was illogical,especially since I was recently banned. I feel I was banned for being pro-Rambus with my posts, or anti-AMD, WHICHEVER you prefer. You and I are the only ones that really know what happened when I was banned... do I once again (NOW) get banned for being OFF TOPIC? Incidentally please define for me, as well as everyone else, what is ON TOPIC and OFF TOPIC for this board? I see many posts that seem to be OFF TOPIC. I mean they are not talking about... AMD! Mostly I'm a lurker here, so whether or not you ban me AGAIN makes little difference. However, the banishment of people like Paul Engle seems really out of line. Like it or not, he adds to your board! Regardless, if you ask me, he could care less. One last question Mani... WHO GETS TO BANISH YOU? Waiting to see my name in lights again.

Mani, your argument that posters for whom their home thread is not the AMD thread would seem to be a good one. Especially since I would think that the pro-Intel and pro-Rambus people would not want a foul-mouthed representative on the AMD moderated thread. However, I feel that your absolute right to ban anybody, regardless of vote, is enough of an offset that banning by posters should require a 2/3 majority. Any less, and it seems to me that you are trying too hard to play the good guy, and let the posters be you hatchet men. Of course, there are valid arguments for a moderator personally intervening as little as possible.
