I wondered how that is relevant to the overall issue of giving up the voting and just having a normal moderated thread with the moderator makeing the decision. It seems that by "views similar to your own" you where talking about political ideas. Assumeing that to be the case I asked why the political views mattered because there was not supposed to be any political discusion there anyway. Tim, you are putting words into my mouth. The moderator decides who is acting inappropriately and counterproductive to the goals of the thread. I would expect that I would more likely agree with Scumbria's call on someone in re. to these issues than I would someone else. I wasn't thinking politics at all. The irony of this discussion is that up til this past election, I essentially was apolitical....that's changing now. ted
