Ted, like water or nitrogen you can suffocate if you are surrounded by it, but it isn't toxic. Definitely not on the levels that we encounter it on earth, or even at much higher levels.

Tim, I did not say in the quantities normally found...I said when there is too much of a good thing....like water flooding. Too much O2 can make you light headed and cause you to pass out. Too many hot fudge sundaes can make you sick to your stomach.

I think you get the point.
