No, Scumbria ver few European countries can match the standard of living in the US. What's fantasy is the belief that you can tax and regulate without limit and without it effecting your economy in a negative way. In my post I wasn't even talking about current regulations and taxes but a whole bunch of new ones to roll back CO2 emissions. Unless Europe is going to build a lot of nuclear power plants (not particuarly likely, nuclear will probably decline as a % of their generation capacity), any attempt at rolling back CO2 will hurt their economy.
