Natural gas prices to grow, stay above oil through 2002, survey shows
Houston, April 2 (BridgeNews) - Natural gas prices are expected to exceed
oil prices on the New York Mercantile Exchange through at least 2002, according
to a Ziff Energy Group survey. According to the survey, 59% of respondents
expect NYMEX Henry Hub gas prices to exceed oil prices by more than 10% in 2002
and 18% expect the Henry Hub to exceed oil prices by more than 25%.
rude oil tumbles to 11-month low on weak products, talk of stocks rise
New York, April 2 (BridgeNews) - Crude oil futures regressed 2.7% to an
11-month low on weak energy product prices and expectations for another buildup
in U.S. inventories in Tuesday's weekly report. Heating oil plunged 4.2%, also
making an 11-month low.
Recent high crude import levels to end, US refiners, traders say
Houston, April 2 (BridgeNews) - Recent record high crude import levels will
not continue much longer, Houston-based refiners and other cash market players
said. According to the American Petroleum Institute, imports hit 10.244 million
barrels per day in the week ended March 23, the highest level ever recorded and
only the third time imports topped 10.0 million.

-DOLLAR is a deterrent to a recovery in manufacturing.

The dollar is approaching August 2000 highs. Unfortunately it may have a similar impact as last fall.
