Condolences on your loss, Mika.

I think the personal stuff (Euroserf vs. arrogant Q) is really a waste of time. Who likes whom doesn't matter if the technology is good and will do what it promises to do quicker, better and cheaper than the other. The economic and technological imperatives will assert themselves regardless of personalities or the mind sets. The top people surely recognize this and do not piss on each other's leg for precisely that reason.

On the other hand, I find it difficult to believe that ETSI did not allow CDMAOne in Europe simply because of GSM's incredibly superior characteristics. Obviously, there were political components to the decision even though it appears to have been in utter violation of the spirit of the WTO's rules, if not their letter.
